Our third-quarter survey for CNBC finds the American public in dark days: President Biden’s approval ratings are down, worries about the economy are rising, and inflation is making life difficult. We also find support for—and some questions about—the reconciliation package being debated in Congress, but solid support for the idea of increasing taxes on corporations and the wealthy to pay for it.
