New Data on Attitudes about the Economy and COVID-19

Our latest CNBC All-America Economic Survey finds that Trump’s job approval is above water for the first time in this poll, with 46% of Americans approving of the job he is doing as president. Despite economic uncertainty, 52% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing handling the economy. Twenty-six percent (26%) of workers report having lost their job or that their wages have decreased, and another 9% expect it to happen in the next couple weeks.  When asked about the coronavirus, the vast majority of Americans (75%) approve of the way the CDC is handling the disease, and the majority (52%) of the public is on board with a nationwide quarantine and closing all non-essential businesses.
