Northeastern States Widely Support Annual 5% Reductions in Carbon Pollution
A new poll conducted for the Sierra Club by Hart Research Associates and Chesapeake Beach Consulting finds that voters in states that are members of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) are highly supportive of their state’s involvement in the program and widely favor changing RGGI standards to require annual 5% reductions in carbon pollution from power plants. The poll also finds that support crosses partisan lines.
