Ian Heft

Ian Heft is a research associate at Hart Research, where he focuses on polling for campaigns and other political clients. Ian works on survey development, monitoring, and analysis for both quantitative and qualitative research projects.

Ian graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 2026 with a BA in Political Science and minors in Data Science for Humanities and Business Strategy. At WashU, Ian completed a Senior Thesis on swing state polling accuracy in recent election cycles and served as a Senior Editor for Student Life, WashU’s independent newspaper. Prior to joining Hart Research, Ian worked as a Research Intern at Global Strategy Group.

Ian is from New York City and currently resides in Washington, D.C. In his free time, you can find him visiting a local museum, running, or watching the New York Knicks.
