Kelly Schmitz

Kelly Schmitz is the managing director of Hart Research. In this role, she oversees day-to-day operations and provides strategic leadership to foster a culture of communication, transparency, and inclusion. She has particular expertise leading teams within the Democratic data and analytics space and has a deep understanding of the intricacies of political data analysis and how to leverage it. She is thrilled that she gets to bring her passion for management and her experience in data to her work every day.

Before coming to Hart, Kelly worked as director of Political Strategy at BlueLabs, director of Client Services at Catalist, and on Democratic campaigns across the country. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband, Matt, and loves puzzles, traveling, and talking about sports.
