Trump’s Job Approval Remains Low While Most Americans Don’t See the Effects of the Tax Cuts

Our latest CNBC All-America Economic Survey finds that Trump’s job approval is steady but low: 39% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing as president, down three points from December’s findings. The poll also shows that few Americans are feeling the effects of the GOP tax cuts—only 32% of employed adults say they have more take-home pay due to lower federal taxes, while 52% of employed adults say they do not have more take-home pay. Additionally, the poll indicates ambivalence about the Trump steel tariffs: 29% of Americans favor the tariffs, 35% oppose them, and 36% have no opinion or are unsure.
